What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift Warehouse Prep Supply M-Th 4:00am-2:30pm position at The Staffing Group?
JOB FUNCTION:
To properly pull ingredients for production
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1) Responsible for pulling and “kitting” ingredients for production
2) Consistently applies FIFO methodology (First In, First Out), and notes LOT numbers) Must be able to complete all transactions daily
4) Provides Packaging Supplies
5) Utilizes the Production Schedule (mixing/depositing) and Materials Requirement Plan
(Bill of Materials roll up by sku) to allocate materials to production
6) May be required to load or unload trucks at warehouse docks
7) To cover vacation schedules for Shipper/Receiver/Selector staff
8) Operates fork trucks, pallet jacks, and electrical hand trucks
9) Daily mapping of raw material locations in warehouse, noting LOT codes
10) Participate in the GFSI/FSSC22000 yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions
11) Must adhere to the plant’s HACCP plans
12) Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) 13) Perform other duties as assigned
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Actively participates in Continuous Improvement projects and processes
2. Must communicate with others to ensure proper production flow to avoid line downtime 3. Must communicate with appropriate personnel to ensure “kitting” ingredients for production is pulled properly & on time
4. Job tasks will be performed in a safe and professional manner and oriented to prevent the disruption of the production line
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Must possess High School diploma or equivalent
2. Must possess English reading and writing skills
3. Must be able to lift up to 50/lbs repeatedly during a shift
4. Must have computer skills and be competent with Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new computer programs
5. Ability to apply company methods and standards to daily job functions
6. Strong attention to detail
7. Must have good math skills
8. Strong time management & organizational skills
