What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist - PRN | 12 Hour Shift position at The Staff Pad?
The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a reputed
hospital in Manchester, TN, and we are looking to hire a dependable Phlebotomist
to join their laboratory team.
In this role, you will collect and process patient
specimens to support accurate laboratory testing for both inpatient and
outpatient populations.
Schedule: PRN (12-Hour Shift)
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood and other specimens
safely and accurately from patients of all ages
- Label, document, and prepare
specimens for testing (name, date, time & location)
- Complete routine and STAT lab order
collections in a timely manner
- Obtain patient consent when
required for procedures
- File & deliver laboratory
reports to appropriate departments & support daily lab operations
- Monitor, replace, and maintain
phlebotomy supplies and inventory across hospital departments
- Follow all safety, infection
control, and compliance standards
- Provide excellent patient service
and communication
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- Current Tennessee phlebotomy
certification required
- Strong customer service, communication,
and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with
clinical staff
- Detail-oriented with strong
organizational and time-management skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and committed
to high-quality patient care
