The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputed hospital in Manchester; TN, and we are looking for compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses to join our Med Surg team.
This role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while working alongside a collaborative healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule: Full-Time | Days | Nights
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments for patients of all ages (pediatric to geriatric) under RN supervision
- Assess, reassess, manage, and educate patients on pain management
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, dysrhythmia and recognize changes in patient status
- Perform point-of-care testing per Clinical Laboratory’s & patient care unit’s policies and procedures and interpret results
- Administer medications safely and manage IV therapy (prepare, hand, monitor and discontinue) within scope of practice
- Follow the 5 medication rights and reduce the potential for medication errors
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
- Deliver safe, patient-centered care while addressing individual psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs
- Provide age-appropriate care and patient/family education
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve quality outcomes
- Support unit operations, mentor new team members, and assist with staff training
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- Current Tennessee LPN license & BLS certification
- One year of hospital experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to interpret EKGs, lab results, and clinical data
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills; additional languages preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more & stand and walk for extended periods
- Reliable attendance and dependability
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
