Director, Application Services
Location: Helena, MT (Remote)
The Staff Pad has partnered with a leading healthcare organization in Helena, Montana to hire a Director of Application Services.
This leader will oversee the planning, design, deployment, and ongoing support of enterprise applications that drive clinical, operational, and business excellence. The Director of Application Services ensures reliable, integrated systems, promotes standardization, supports IT strategic initiatives, and fosters a customer-centric technology environment across the organization.
Position Overview
The Director of Application Services manages enterprise applications across clinical, financial, and operational areas. This role provides leadership in system design, implementation, standrdization, and ongoing support, while aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. The position also supports IT governance, operational improvement, and cost-saving initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead planning, development, and deployment of enterprise applications.
Ensure successful installation, configuration, and support of software systems.
Maintain, upgrade, and optimize existing applications.
Contribute to IT strategic planning, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and market trends.
Collaborate with hospitals, clinics, surgery centers, and leadership to align local and enterprise-level IT priorities.
Promote application standardization and reduction of redundant systems.
Maintain application portfolios and system documentation standards.
Oversee IT governance efforts, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
Foster customer-focused service culture for application delivery.
Act as a final decision-maker on IT application matters affecting the organization.
Required Knowledge & Experience
5–10 years in a healthcare applications role, including selection, implementation, and lifecycle support of clinical, financial, or regulatory systems.
Strong knowledge of healthcare application vendors and products.
Proven experience in strategic information systems planning and execution.
Familiarity with clinical, acute, sub-acute, outpatient, and clinic workflows.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects, coordinate dispersed teams, and drive technology adoption
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare, or a related field required. Location/Region: Helena, Montana
