The Staff Pad has partnered with a client in Montana who has a vision to be the gold standard for Healthcare. We are searching for a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to support the organizations mission. The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist Assistant is responsible for safely transferring and transporting patients of all ages, ensuring a smooth operational flow within the Diagnostic Imaging (DI) unit. Working closely with technologists, this role supports imaging procedures and assists with patient care, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment. The assistant also manages transport equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper function, and performs additional duties to enhance patient experience and minimize wait times.
Responsibilities:
Safely transport patients using wheelchairs or gurneys, ensuring patient confidentiality and following established safety guidelines.
Assist imaging technologists in transferring patients to and from imaging equipment and with room and equipment setup.
Report any changes in patient condition promptly to technologists, nurses, or medical staff.
Maintain inventory, stock supplies, and ensure that patient care areas are cleaned and prepared for efficient room turnover.
Utilize Vocera or communication tools to stay in contact, manage add-on exams, and answer phone calls professionally.
Perform general tasks such as checking oxygen tanks, taking vital signs, and transporting lab samples.
Rotate shifts, including holidays, and cover nights or weekends as needed to support the department.
Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or HiSET equivalent preferred.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Knowledge of safe equipment and patient handling techniques; MRI Safety training within 3 months of hire.
Strong communication skills with a commitment to patient and customer satisfaction.
Ability to multitask, adapt to changing environments, and demonstrate excellent teamwork.
