The St. James Performance Academy is seeking a Head Softball Coach to lead our elite Academy softball team. This role is responsible for the overall development, training, and competitive success of high-performance athletes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the Academy softball program, including year-round training and competitive schedules.
- Develop individualized athlete development plans, including technical, tactical, physical, and mental preparation.
- Facilitate college recruiting and advancement through strong national softball network connections.
- Recruit, hire, and mentor coaching staff to ensure consistent training standards.
- Represent The St. James professionally within the softball community.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5 years coaching/program leadership experience (3 at Head or senior level).
- Proven track record of athlete development and college-level placements.
- Advanced knowledge of softball techniques, systems, and competitive pathways.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand, walk, and demonstrate softball skills for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry training equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Participate in drills, conditioning, and on-field demonstrations.
Background Requirements
- Must successfully complete a background check.
- Valid USA Softball or other relevant coaching certifications preferred.
