Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retiree, and voluntary).
- Support open enrollment, new hire onboarding, life event changes, and benefit communications.
- Partner with HRIS, Payroll, and vendors to ensure accurate data, timely processing, and issue resolution.
- Review, reconcile, and process benefit invoices, track costs and coordinate with Finance on reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements; prepare audit documentation as needed.
- Respond to employee benefit inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Maintain and update benefit materials, intranet content, and leave of absence records.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2 – 3 years of experience in benefits administration and invoice reconciliation.
- Working knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, and ACA regulations.
- Experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- The compensation range for this role as a consultant is $30 - $35/hour, based on experience and qualifications. This rate is subject to change.
