We are looking for a cheerful, optimistic, organized, and motivated person who loves to enrich the lives of seniors. This position is specifically responsible for implementing meaningful and appropriate activities for our residents in memory care. Necessary characteristics and skills for this position include: presenting a professional appearance, maintaining confidentiality, excellent verbal communications abilities, high standard of ethics and integrity, the ability to work with seniors suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s, and creativity in carrying out community activities.
This position is for an independent worker who will take the lead in encouraging resident participation and have sensitivity to the resident's individual needs, as well as being a team player who loves to collaborate.

Essential Functions
- Assist with the preparation and distribution a professional monthly activity calendar.
- Informs residents of daily activities with flyers, announcements, postings, etc.
- Assist with the tasteful decoration of community routinely as well as for special events, holidays, and seasons.
- Lead activities and effectively encourage residents to attend activities.
- Assure that activities are offered as scheduled or, if cancelled, that appropriate alternatives are offered.
- Facilitate socialization among residents.

- Listens effectively and provides clear, concise, and accurate verbal and written information including all relevant documentation
- Cooperates with others to effectively and efficiently achieve goals and resolve problems

- Adheres to community dress policy
- Maintains confidentiality and privacy of our residents and staff at all times
- Meets the needs and wishes of customers (residents, staff, and families) appropriately by being prompt, polite, professional, and personal
- Makes the best decision based on information while resisting the influence of peer pressure and emotions
- Consistently reports to work on-time and completes scheduled shifts
- Adaptable and willing to change in order to ensure success
- Completes all assigned duties efficiently and accurately
- Attends education and training classes as necessary to fulfill state regulations
- Drives community vehicles safely to and from required destinations and according to schedule
- Works safely and follow protocols for assuring a safe work environment
- Performs other duties as assigned by Life Enrichment Director
- Previous experience in senior housing, working with cognitively or memory declined seniors is preferred
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications
- Valid Driver's License and experience driving passenger van/bus is preferred
