What are the responsibilities and job description for the On-Call Shift Associate position at The Spicy Nacho?
Location: Zachary, LA Plank Rd)
Dates Needed: JAN 5th - 7th (2–3 days max - temporary emergency coverage)
Age: 18 only
Quick Note: If the owner likes your work and you're a strong fit, we may offer additional shifts or a permanent role (not guaranteed).
Pay: Shift A --> 100$/daily Tips // Shift B --> 40$/daily Tips
We pay in proportion to the shift you work:
Shift A (Primary): 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM (7 hrs)
- $100/day base pay tips
Shift B (Rush Coverage): 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (3 hrs)
- $40/ day base pay tips
Tips (Proportional to hours)
Tips are not split evenly by headcount. Tips are split by hours worked — if you work more hours, you earn more of the tips.
What You'll Do
- Run orders/cashier (no physical cash handling)
- Portion food keep pace during rush
- Handle DoorDash/online orders
- Communicate with owner/manager on order flow
- Keep station clean follow food safety basics
Who We Want
Veteran-led operation — tight ship, high standards, fast pace. We'll train you on the spot, but you must be:
- Reliable, coachable, and quick under pressure
- Comfortable with a fast-moving line and customers
- Food experience/SafeServe is a plus, not required
