Duties

• Prepare and cook breakfast dishes with precision, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
• Ensure all food safety sanitizing procedures are followed diligently to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
• Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, poaching stations, braising pots, and food production appliances efficiently and safely
• Assist with menu planning for breakfast service, incorporating dietary considerations and guest preferences
• Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients for high-volume production
• Maintain proper food handling techniques to ensure freshness, safety, and quality of all breakfast items
• Support dietary department requirements by preparing specialized meals or accommodating dietary restrictions as needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy morning hours and uphold excellent food service standards
• Follow food safety management practices consistently to prevent contamination or spoilage during meal preparation and serving

Skills

• Proven experience in dietary aide roles or food industry settings with a focus on breakfast or high-volume food production
• Strong knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling protocols
• Skilled in culinary techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and knife skills for precise ingredient preparation
• Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation in fine dining or restaurant environments
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Background in food service or catering environments with high-volume production experience
• Excellent communication skills for serving guests and collaborating with team members
• Familiarity with dietary department procedures and food safety management systems
