Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Slime Store Manager to lead our vibrant retail environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for slime, science, and creating fun, engaging experiences for children and families. The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the store, ensuring the achievement of sales and cost targets, exceptional customer service, and smooth operational efficiency. This role involves leading and developing the store team, managing inventory, and driving business performance while upholding company standards and values.
Responsibilities:
- Store Operations:
- Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Optimize staffing schedules to meet customer demand and control labor costs.
- Be the expert in slime bases, retail and identify key staff members to support you
- Inventory & Merchandising
- Oversee inventory management, stock control, and visual merchandising
- Maintain optimal stock levels
- Ensure retail is fully stocked
- Staff Management:
- Train, and mentor store staff, fostering a positive and motivating work environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear objectives, and provide constructive feedback and write ups.
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high operational standards.
- Sales & Profitability
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve store sales goals and KPIs.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and adjust tactics to maximize revenue such as introducing mid-week workshops and reducing staffing based on store trends and velocity.
- Drive initiatives that enhance customer engagement and increase sales conversion rates.
- Manage cash register counts and deposits
- Manage party and workshop tips and distribute to staff
- Customer Experience:
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring every visitor has a memorable and slime-tastic experience.
- Ensure the store provides a welcoming, engaging, and personalized shopping experience.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and professionally.
- Monitor store reviews (google/yelp) and ensure the consistent 5 star reviews and address any areas of concern
- Slime Workshops & Events: Lead and facilitate engaging slime-making workshops and events for children and families.
- Content Creation: Develop and execute creative content for social media platforms, showcasing our slime creations, workshops, and events.
- Sales & Marketing: Implement sales strategies to drive revenue and promote the store within the community.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment.
Personal Attributes & Qualifications:
- Passion for Slime & Science: A genuine love for slime and a basic understanding of the science behind it.
- Experience with Children: Proven ability to connect with children of all ages and create a fun and engaging atmosphere.
- Creativity & Enthusiasm: A natural creative spirit with a passion for developing new slime recipes, workshops, and events.
- Content Creation Skills: Experience creating engaging content for social media platforms, including photos and videos.
- Leadership & Management Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and manage store operations effectively.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
- Education - Bachelor’s degree ideal but not mandatory in Business, Administration, Retail management or a related field.
- Positive Attitude, strong work ethic, strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Work Experience - 8 years of experience in a fast paced retail environment as a key holder or assistant manager
- Systems Experience - Experience using Square PoS, Google sheets, Canva and Instagram for Business an advantage
- Hours - Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays
