Slime Kitchen is a fast-growing premier slime making franchise. Founded in 2022, the company has 10 locations. Slime Kitchen sits nicely across major growth categories with little to no direct competition. At our current rate, we expected to grow at 30% year over year. You will be joining us in an early stage of the company with tremendous growth opportunities.
Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Slime Chef to help facilitate a vibrant retail environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for slime, science, and creating fun, engaging experiences for children and families. The Slime Chef is responsible for excellent customer service; ensuring that every customer walks away with the perfect slime. Responsibilities include customer service, restocking supplies, cleaning mixers, tables, bins and the store. Some slime chefs will have the opportunity to make retail slime as well as host workshops and parties.
Responsibilities:
- Store Operations:
- Execute daily store operations, assisting with opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Be the expert in slime bases, retail and event operations
- Inventory & Merchandising
- Ensure retail is fully stocked
- Customer Experience:
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring every visitor has a memorable and slime-tastic experience.
- Ensure the store provides a welcoming, engaging, and personalized shopping experience.
- Employees primary responsibility is helping customers through the 10 step process and ensuring that everyone feels like they have been helped and had a great experience despite the business in the store
- Employees will be responsible for checking the reservation app to see what appointments are booked and manage the traffic to optimize for store capacity, customer attention and wait times
- Employees will be explaining the 10 step process to the kids or adults. It’s important all customers understand step 1 as it’s foundational to the rest of the 9 steps.
- Employees must ensure that everyone walks away with the perfect slime which means, it’s not too sticky, not too hard. Customers are paying for the experience but they also want to believe they can make an amazing slime even if it requires our slime chefs to help nudge or offer activator, stretch or gloss
- Employees will be making activator, base slimes, stickering jars and making and preparing retail slimes
- Employees should keep the store, mixer, sensory bins and tables washed, wiped down and clean at all times
- Employees will be responsible for cleaning up the mixers, the bins and tables after customers are done with their DIY
- Slime Workshops & Events: Facilitate engaging slime-making workshops and events for children and families.
- Content Creation: Develop and execute creative content for social media platforms, showcasing our slime creations, workshops, and events.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment.
Personal Attributes & Qualifications:
- Passion for Slime & Science: A genuine love for slime and a basic understanding of the science behind it.
- Experience with Children: Proven ability to connect with children of all ages and create a fun and engaging atmosphere.
- Creativity & Enthusiasm: A natural creative spirit with a passion for developing new slime recipes, workshops, and events.
- Content Creation Skills: Experience creating engaging content for social media platforms, including photos and videos.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
- Positive Attitude, strong work ethic, strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Work Experience - Ideally 2 years of experience in a fast paced retail, customer service environment.
- Systems Experience - Experience using Square PoS, Google sheets, Canva and Instagram for Business an advantage
- Hours - Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays
