Slabe Machine Products is looking for a 2nd shift CNC Supervisor/CNC Programmer! Have you worked as a Lead CNC Machinist in the past and are looking to advance? We would love to speak with you!
The ideal candidate will be able to supervise 20 production employees in a CNC Machining facility. Maintain a positive working environment and coach individuals to succeed.
The programmer will be responsible for reading and interpreting design blueprints, programming Multi-Axis - Turn Mill machines, and setting up and adjusting the settings of the machine.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the technical team to establish the processes for manufacturing complete parts, including fixture design/work holding and tool selection.
- Utilize CAM software in developing CNC programs as routed on Process Engineering Drawings.
- Check completed programs by running the process simulation / full machine. Maintains a positive, team environment relationship with employees by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Supervise milling employees’ cycle time, scrap/rework, and tooling issues.
- 3-5 Experience in machining and setup preferred.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a machining production environment- a plus.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and MRP/ERP systems. Above-average aptitude and ability to interpret spreadsheets.
- 5 years min experience in CNC programming.
- 5 years’ experience using the latest revision of CAD/CAM programming software (Mastercam).
- 5 years min experience in CNC machining for complex parts.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills & thorough understanding of GD&T.
