What are the responsibilities and job description for the PSA - Giftshop/Ticket Sales/Station Manager- Willits, CA position at The Skunk Train?
The world-famous Skunk Train is a standard gage passenger railroad that was founded in 1885, and operates 40 miles between Fort Bragg and Willits, in Mendocino County, California.
We are currently looking for someone who can work in a very fast paced guest facing environment. The ideal applicant must be energetic and upbeat.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service in very fast pace, high volume setting.
- Stock and maintain supplies and retail products.
- Maintain cash and credit card receipts utilizing computerized point of sale cash register.
- Coordinate with other staff members.
- Provide concise information to guests about the Skunk Train, history and visitor services.
- Understand POS system.
Qualifications, Educational Requirements, and Preferred Skills
- Enthusiasm for Skunk Train products.
- POS / Register, retail & cash handling experience preferred.
- A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Excellent ability to communicate important information to the public.
- Possess a valid driver’s license. Will provide food handler certification.
- Must be 18 years of age, or have work permit.
Additional Notes
- Must work well under pressure.
- Must be able to work weekends.
- Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours and navigate stairs on a regular basis.
- Must be able to move 25 pounds on an intermittent basis.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, pull, twist, walk, crouch, and squat.
- Must be able to adhere to supervisory instruction and direction.
