Groundskeeper, Assisi House
Description: Seeking a full-time Groundskeeper.
Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M., with on-call responsibilities and potential weekend work as well.
Key duties include:
Responsible for all aspects of groundskeeping, including: mowing, trimming, planting, snow removal, and cemetery work, using various landscape and snow equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, snow plows, backhoe)
Must follow safety procedures and use protective gear while performing physically demanding tasks outdoors in all weather conditions (e.g., lifting up to 50 lbs, standing or bending for extended periods)
Works collaboratively with the grounds team and communicates respectfully with residents, coworkers, and supervisors; expected to contribute positively to team efforts and attend regular staff meetings
Able to work independently with minimal supervision, adapt to changing priorities, and be available for extended or emergency hours (especially during weather events)
Expected to support the values and mission of the Sisters of St. Francis, maintain a professional appearance, and adhere to all facility, HR, and departmental policies
Key requirements include:
Able to lift 25 lbs. and perform physical tasks
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (DMV verified)
Ability to work on-call and beyond regularly scheduled hours during weather emergencies or special operational situations
Minimum of one year of experience performing large-scale groundskeeping, landscaping, maintenance, or related work
