About The Simple Luxe

The Simple Luxe is a growing event design and production company specializing in luxury private events, brand activations, corporate events, custom fabrication, premium balloon installations, florals, event styling and immersive guest experiences.

We are expanding our roster of talented creatives, makers, event professionals and dependable production assistants for flexible, project-based and on-call opportunities.

This is not one traditional full-time position. Team members may be contacted for assignments based on their skills, availability and the needs of each project.

No two weeks look the same. One assignment may involve preparing balloons or florals in our Norwalk workspace, while another may involve assisting with the installation of a large corporate event or brand activation.

Position Overview

Creative Crew Members assist with the preparation, production, transportation, installation and breakdown of event designs.

Assignments may take place at our Norwalk workspace or onsite at events throughout Southern California. Opportunities may be paid hourly, by day rate or through a flat project rate depending on the assignment.

Potential Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

• Inflating, sizing and preparing balloons
• Producing and assembling balloon garlands
• Creating silk floral arrangements and centerpieces
• Producing paper crafts, hanging installations and custom decor
• Painting and preparing backdrop panels, props and event pieces
• Pulling, organizing and preparing inventory
• Assisting with warehouse organization and production
• Loading and unloading trucks, vans and event inventory
• Assisting with deliveries and transportation
• Setting up and breaking down private events, corporate events and brand activations
• Assisting with event styling and installations
• Supporting custom fabrication and shop projects
• Capturing behind-the-scenes content when needed
• Completing other production-related tasks based on project needs

Examples of Project-Based Assignments

Project-based opportunities may include:

• Inflating and sizing balloons for an upcoming installation
• Assembling balloon garlands for a backdrop design
• Creating silk floral arrangements
• Producing paper garlands or hanging installations
• Preparing centerpieces and custom decor pieces
• Painting backdrop panels and event props

These assignments may be compensated through a flat task or project rate depending on the scope of work.

Examples of Hourly or Day-Rate Assignments

Hourly or day-rate opportunities may include:

• Warehouse production support
• Pulling and preparing inventory
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Event setup and breakdown
• Styling assistance
• Delivery assistance
• Corporate events

• Production and fabrication support

Qualifications

• Can follow instructions and pay close attention to detail
• Are willing to learn new skills

• Are comfortable lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds when required
• Have reliable transportation to our Norwalk workspace and event locations
• Have flexible weekday, evening or weekend availability

Preferred Experience

Previous experience is helpful but not required. Relevant experience may include:

• Balloon decor
• Floral arranging
• Event production
• Event setup and breakdown
• Event styling
• Custom fabrication
• Painting or crafting
• Warehouse and inventory support
• Content creation
• Driving cargo vans or box trucks

Training may be provided depending on the assignment.

Compensation

Compensation will vary based on the assignment, responsibilities and level of experience.

Opportunities may be compensated through:

• Hourly rates
• Day rates
• Flat task rates
• Project-based rates

The compensation and expectations for each assignment will be communicated before the team member accepts the project.
