JOB TITLE: Security OfficerSCHEDULED HOURS: 4pm – Midnight, five days per week, including one weekend day, overtime as neededWAGE: $23.75 per hour to start with additional $5.22 hourly stipend following 90 days of employment REPORTS TO: Paul D’AntonioESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not be limited to: Check and secure the theatre at beginning and end of operations (make sure all doors are locked, turn off lights, check for anything unusual, etc). Maintain a safe, secure and friendly lobby for guests Check bags and personal items of patrons entering the theatre. Monitor and inspect the building frequently during open hours Respond to security threats and Theater Management requests for assistance Set up stanchions and other equipment as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Must be extremely reliable and punctual Must be resourceful and calm under pressure, with the ability to deal with unanticipated developments Ability to work flexible hours Ability to lift 25 pounds Must be willing and to obtain a security guard license (training will be provided). Current or previous security guard license holder a plus. Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor Membership in Local 32BJ is required (non-members must apply upon hire).
