Position Overview
We are seeking a Garden Care Specialist to join our landscape maintenance team.
This is a part-time position with consistent full-day shifts. Team members are expected to work at least two full days per week (Monday through Saturday). This role is ideal for adults seeking steady part-time work with physical activity, outdoor work, and opportunities to grow skills in landscape and garden care.
While each team member has a primary focus area, we operate as a team. Everyone is expected to assist where needed to complete the day’s assignments.
Primary Responsibilities
As a Garden Care Specialist, your primary focus will be the care and maintenance of client gardens.
You will:
- Identify or quickly learn to identify flowers, weeds, shrubs, and common landscape plants
- Care for gardens through weeding, pruning, planting, watering adjustments, and seasonal cleanup
- Recognize signs of common plant stress or disease and follow proper treatment procedures
- Maintain high attention to detail and quality standards
- Assist clients professionally when questions arise on site
Team Responsibilities
All team members, regardless of specialty, are expected to:
- Assist with general landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, raking, digging, and snow removal
- Support teammates to complete daily job assignments efficiently
- Follow company procedures and safety practices
- Learn and apply training provided by the company
- Contribute to a respectful and professional team environment
We operate as a collaborative crew. Specialists may lead garden-specific tasks, but everyone helps wherever needed.
Driving & Equipment Responsibilities
Team members must be able to:
- Safely drive a company pickup truck, with trailer
- Transport team members and equipment to job sites
- Respect and maintain company vehicles and tools
Training is available for towing and maneuvering trailers if you are willing to learn.
Schedule & Work Availability
- Part-time position
- Must be available for at least two full workdays per week
- Typical workdays are full-day shifts
- Monday through Saturday scheduling
- Work availability depends on your consistent availability and seasonal workload
- Hours may decrease during winter months
This position is best suited for individuals who can commit to steady weekly availability rather than variable half-day shifts.
Compensation
- Starting wage: $15.25 per hour
- Includes technology use premium for required smartphone usage
- Raises available based on training completion, performance, and reliability
- Company-provided on-the-job training

Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be authorized to work in the United States
- Pass a background check and drug screening
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (past 5 years)
- Provide at least two professional references
- Be comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling, communication, time tracking, and company systems
- Communicate clearly in English with team members and clients
Preferred but not required:
- At least one year of experience in landscaping, gardening, or green industry work
- Experience towing trailers
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Work performed at private residential and commercial properties
