Job Summary
TSG Behavioral Health & Community Services is seeking a results-driven Outpatient Therapy Program Supervisor to take ownership of our Outpatient Therapy (OPT) program, lead its daily operations, and drive its continued success.
We are looking for a proactive leader who takes initiative, holds team members accountable, identifies opportunities for improvement, and ensures the program operates efficiently while delivering quality client care.
This is an ownership-driven leadership role. The successful candidate will be expected to actively manage program performance, strengthen therapist engagement, improve client retention, address operational challenges, and help drive sustainable program growth.
The position works closely with the Clinical Director and agency leadership while taking primary responsibility for the program's day-to-day operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of OPT program operations, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Drive program growth through effective client engagement, therapist utilization, and retention.
- Monitor therapist productivity, caseloads, scheduling, responsiveness, and accountability.
- Oversee client referrals, intake coordination, therapist assignments, and continuity of services.
- Monitor documentation compliance, treatment plan updates, progress notes, and discharge records.
- Conduct therapist and client check-ins to identify concerns and improve service delivery.
- Identify operational problems, develop solutions, and ensure timely follow-through.
- Coordinate with intake, billing, therapists, and clinical leadership to achieve program goals.
- Track program performance and provide regular updates and recommendations to leadership.
- Support therapist onboarding, staff meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Must meet North Carolina Qualified Professional (QP) requirements.
- Experience in behavioral health, outpatient therapy, social work, case management, or related human services required.
- Preferred: LCSW, LCSW-A, LCMHC, LCMHC-A, LMFT, LMFT-A, or a bachelor's/master's degree in Social Work.
- Program management, supervisory, or leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated initiative, accountability, problem-solving ability, and strong follow-through.
- Knowledge of Medicaid documentation, treatment planning, and service coordination preferred.
- Must be able to work in person in Charlotte.
Position Scope
This is a program leadership and operations position, not a direct therapy role. Clinical supervision, assessments, and independent clinical decision-making remain with appropriately licensed professionals.
