Senior Civil & Structural (CSA) Engineer

Summary

The Structural Engineer leads CSA (civil/structural/architectural) activities to ensure that all the CSA engineering deliverables for various projects are developed as per scope, with quality, and as per schedule to meet client expectations. The incumbent will assist the Engineering Manager and Project Managers on multiple projects on engineering studies, modular civil structural design and checking of third party civil and structural consultant design calculation, deliverable, and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend the project scope and deliverables of all active projects.
• Develop project deliverables. Review the deliverables providing technical input for safe and workable design.
• Liaising with clients, vendors, project management, discipline engineers and civil designers to support the civil & structural deliverables to meet projects scope & specifications.
• Participate in the design reviews with clients and internal disciplines to represent CSA Engineering.
• Ensuring a safe, positive work environment with excellent problem-solving & communication skills.
• Assist with the development of new structural engineering guidelines and improve existing guidelines by implementing industry and company best practices.
• Review vendor prints using BlueBeam or other software.
  
  

Education And Experience

• 3-5 years working with an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction company or similar.
• Civil Engineering (bachelor’s degree)
• Structural Engineering (bachelor’s degree)
• Professional Engineer License
• Familiarity with Structural Engineering related industry standards (Basic)
• AutoCAD (Basic)
• RISA-3D (Basic)
• Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate)
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to reach, stand, walk, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see and to perform repetitive motions.
• Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
