Sales Floor Associate
The Sharp Notes: Garden State Plaza, Paramus, NJ
The Sharp Notes is an independent record store at the Garden State Plaza, and we’re looking for someone who can hold down the floor with a steady hand, a good ear, and a genuine interest in helping customers discover something new.
You don’t need to be a vinyl scholar, but you can be! A working knowledge of music across genres, comfort on a retail floor, and the ability to solve small problems as they come up are what matter most.
The day-to-day tasks are a mix of customer service and shop work. That means ringing people up, answering questions, answering the phone, shelving, cleaning, pricing, taking pictures and videos, helping out with special events, cataloging and more. It’s a role for someone who can shift gears easily and doesn’t mind the overall necessary tasks that keep a store running.
We’re maintaining a space that feels welcoming to collectors, first-timers, and everyone in between. Nights and weekends are required, and reliability counts.
Other tasks and opportunities include:
- Helping with our editorial site
- Assisting with social and brand content
- Supporting in-store events such as listening sessions and visiting-artist conversations
