Corporate Accounting Manager

A well-established, multi-entity organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee consolidated financial reporting, technical accounting, and close operations reporting directly to the Director of Accounting. This role carries meaningful leadership responsibility across both the accounting team and cross-functional partnerships with Finance, Internal Audit, and HR. The ideal candidate brings deep corporate accounting experience, strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, and a track record of driving process improvement in a complex environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities including journal entry review, account reconciliations, consolidations, and supporting schedules across a multi-entity group of companies.
• Oversee preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, footnote disclosures, board reporting materials, and intercompany eliminations for external stakeholder reporting.
• Supervise, develop, and coach accounting team members while partnering with Internal Audit on audit schedules, documentation, and internal controls maintenance.
• Oversee AP operations including invoice workflow, vendor payments, accruals, and AP-related controls; coordinate payroll accounting entries and reconciliations with HR.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and budget-to-actual reporting while researching and implementing U.S. GAAP guidance and identifying opportunities for process and systems improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred; Master's degree a plus.
• 5 years of progressive corporate accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience required; AP management experience and payroll accounting knowledge a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into business-focused recommendations.
