Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 2-5 years of civil engineering experience in utility infrastructure, site development, municipal engineering, transportation, or related industries.
- Understanding of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and engineering design processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel occasionally throughout Michigan to support project and field activities.
- Valid driver's license.
- Assist with the review of civil and structural engineering design packages for electric distribution, substation, and power generation projects.
- Review construction drawings, site plans, grading plans, drainage plans, and supporting engineering calculations under the guidance of senior engineering staff.
- Participate in engineering design reviews, project meetings, and coordination discussions.
- Support project managers and senior engineers with project planning, execution, and closeout activities.
- Assist with reviewing as-built drawings and project documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Track engineering review comments and support resolution of technical issues.
