The Host/Hostess manages reservations, guest flow, and seating while delivering attentive, personalized service that reflects the resort’s luxury standards and coastal hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor upon arrival and departure
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments efficiently
- Escort guests to tables and provide menus
- Maintain an accurate seating chart to support service flow and table turnover
- Communicate effectively with servers, management, and kitchen staff regarding table status and guest needs
- Answer phones, take reservations, and respond to guest inquiries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
- Anticipate guest needs and accommodate special requests when possible
- Address guest concerns professionally and escalate when necessary
- Uphold The Sea Pines Resort service standards at all times
- Previous hospitality, hosting, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
