Banquets & Catering Manager

Position Summary

The Sea Pines Resort, an award-winning destination on Hilton Head Island, is looking for a Banquets and Catering Manager to help lead the planning and execution of all banquet and catering events. This role is responsible for delivering outstanding guest experiences for weddings, corporate events, private functions, and resort-hosted activities, while ensuring smooth operations, excellent service, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all banquet and catering events from initial contact to execution and follow-up
• Work with Sales and Marketing to develop proposals and secure event bookings
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors
• Supervise and train banquet team members to uphold service standards
• Coordinate with culinary, beverage, and other departments to ensure seamless events
• Oversee event setup, service, and breakdown
• Manage budgets, labor costs, and inventory to ensure financial goals are met
• Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations
• Continuously look for ways to improve service and efficiency
  
  

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in banquet and catering management, preferably in a luxury resort or high-end hospitality environment
• Knowledge of food and beverage operations, menu planning, and event logistics
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple events in a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on, service-focused attitude
• Familiarity with event management software and Microsoft Office
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field is preferred
