THE POSITION
The teacher’s primary goal is to teach students the Language Arts curriculum.
QUALIFICATIONS
1.Teacher of English, Elementary w/ specialization in Language Arts, Gr 5-8, or Elementary School Teacher, K-8 required.2.Experience with process writing, reader’s workshop, literature circles, novel-based instruction, differentiated instruction, and integration of other content areas a plus.
3.Motivated individual to work with a team of dedicated educators, knowledge of national standards.
4.Teaching experience preferred.
5.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
6.Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/ immigrant status.

To provide instructional leadership in the classroom in accordance with the course of study approved by the Board of Education approved curriculum.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
