THE POSITION
Candidate should have middle school experience working in a special education classroom, or with in class resource support and behavior modification experience. Candidate should desire to work cooperatively with academic teachers within a team concept
QUALIFICATIONS
1. NJ Teacher of the Handicapped OR Teacher of Students with Disabilities, and ELA certification required.2. Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
3. Teaching experience with special needs students preferred.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
5. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status.

To provide instructional leadership in the classroom in accordance with the course of study approved by the Board of Education approved curriculum.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
