Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Florida driver’s license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year of related experience.
- Valid Florida Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) with air brakes endorsement.
Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy minimum qualifications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of a variety of sites equipment, tools, seeds, and fertilizers and related products and their uses.
- Knowledge of general policies and procedures for the functional area of assignment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, Public Records, Sunshine Law, FERPA, and other laws/regulations related to student and employee privacy, public information, and records retention.
- Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment, materials, practices, computers, and applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to install and repair outdoor equipment areas, driveways, parking lots, and fencing.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Ability to professionally and effectively respond to customer needs and requests for service or assistance.
- Ability to comply with the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse requirements.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIALJOBFUNCTIONS:
- Maintain and care for sites and school campuses including asphalt repairs.
- Assist in the grading of soil and installation of sod and mulch.
- Mow lawns with hand and/or power tools.
- Maintain and service all sites equipment.
- Collect and dispose of leaves and refuse.
- Assist in the installation and repair of fencing and playground equipment.
- Spray for weed control and fertilization.
- Operate related equipment such as bat wing mower, dump truck, bucket truck, front end loader, bobcat, trencher, and tractor with box blade.
- Comply with applicable safety regulations and procedures.
- Utilize basic District computer applications for communication, training, and record keeping.
- Assist in the instruction of personnel on specific tasks when required.
- Register with the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
- Maintain driver and CDL Licensure and required endorsements if applicable.
- Any job-related duties as assigned.
