Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree in business or related field.
- Two (2) years of related experience and/or training.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field.
- Five (5) years of related experience.
Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy minimum qualifications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; organizational and management skills.
- Knowledge of pertinent regulations, policies, and procedures for the functional area of assignment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, Public Records, Sunshine Law, FERPA, and other laws/regulations related to student and employee privacy, public information, and records retention.
- Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment, materials, practices, computers, and applications.
- Ability to professionally and effectively respond to customer needs and requests for service or assistance.

Responsibilities
- Operate office equipment, especially computers with in-house software programs.
- Provide accurate information to others, demonstrating specific knowledge of governmental accounting, federal and state legal statutes, and Board policies.
- Write and interpret financial budgets.
- Ensure compliance with internal, state, and federal accounting guidelines.
- Use effective oral and written communication skills, especially over the telephone.
- Organize self to accomplish tasks related to goals and prioritize items to discuss with supervisor.
- Provide customer-friendly service through the interaction with people at all levels of the school system and community.
- Perform reconciliations related to District accounting procedures.
- Take responsibility of training others in business financial functions.
- Work effectively under the stress of time, personnel shortages, and multiple requests.
- Perform Medicaid administrative claims reimbursable activities as directed in accordance with Chapter 3 of the federally approved School District Administrative Claiming (SDAC) Guide.
