Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development through engaging activities and positive interactions. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development in areas such as language, social skills, and motor skills.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their child's development.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies to promote good behavior.
- Engage with children through play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and educational activities.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the daycare facility.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's activities, progress, and any concerns.
Qualifications
- Experience in childcare settings such as daycare or nannying is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles is essential.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Strong behavior management skills to effectively guide children's interactions.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to various age groups including toddlers.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Previous experience in classroom management is beneficial.
