Job Summary:
We are seeking a charismatic and knowledgeable Tour Guide to lead our guests through our city, providing an unforgettable experience. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate with visitors from diverse backgrounds and cultures, share their expertise, and ensure a memorable experience for all. It is a unique position is only 3 months including training. We run a tour company that only operates when a cruise ship is in town from mid-August through Halloween. A schedule of the work load is already established and easily shared. Job is seasonal from August - Nov 5
Duties:
- You must be able to drive AND narrate at the same time at 15 passenger van.
- Welcome and greet guests upon arrival, providing a warm and friendly introduction to the tour.
- Provide clear and engaging narration of historical landmarks, cultural attractions, and points of interest, highlighting their significance and relevance to the area.
- Use communication skills to respond to any questions or concerns from guests, providing personalized attention and support throughout the tour.
- Utilize time management skills to ensure that the tour stays on schedule, and to accommodate any unexpected delays or changes.
- Provide educational insights about the city's history, architecture, and cultural heritage.
-Share personal anecdotes and insider knowledge to enhance the guest experience.
- Use public speaking skills to lead the tour, using a clear and engaging tone to captivate the attention of guests.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Tour Guide or in a related customer service role is NOT essential.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary.
- Experience with public speaking and presentation skills is desirable.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
