Childcare Director

`The Sapling School is seeking a dedicated and reliable Childcare Director to lead our childcare program in Kendall Park, NJ. This role requires a flexible schedule within the hours of 6:30am to 6:00pm to ensure the highest standards of care and education are met for all children in our program.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the childcare program, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
• Manage and support staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement curriculum and activities that promote children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Maintain compliance with all state regulations and licensing requirements.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress and center activities.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in childcare management or early childhood education.
• Ability to work flexible hours between 6:30am and 6:00pm.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Reliable and committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for children and staff.
• Knowledge of relevant childcare regulations and best practices.
• Educational credentials relevant to early childhood education preferred.
• Must meet Director requirements as specified by the Department of Children and Families Office of Licensing.
