Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

Location: Bozeman, MT

Program: Childcare and Preschool, ages 0-5

Salary Range: Negotiable / Contract $19-22/hr

What’s Expected of You:The Early Childhood Educator is responsible to maintain a positive, nurturing and engaging classroom environment conducive to optimal growth and development for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. This position's commitment includes, but not limited to:

• Assist with the overall supervision of children, implement activities, maintain daily attendance log.

• Assist with establishing and maintenance of family partnerships through positive interaction and participation in family events.

• Assist with implementing and delivery of lesson plans and daily classroom schedule

. Assist with providing an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration and decision-making by the children

. Ability and desire to work with multiple ages of children to include 6 weeks to 5 years and fulfill multiple responsibilities, as needed.

• Assist with implementing any other responsibilities as designated by the Director.

• Adhere to the Montana Department of Human Services, Child Care Licensing Division's rules and regulations.

• Work as a team to create a harmonious and efficient working environment.

• Attend monthly staff meetings, orientations, and required training courses.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications/Requirements:

• 3-5 Years Experience in the ECE Field (preferred)

• First Aid & CPR Certified (Must be current)

• Pre-Licensing Orientation Courses (completed within 30

• Background Check; FBI Fingerprints (Must be current)

• TB Test (Every 3 Years)

• General Health Appraisal (Annually)

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Immunizations

• Current on the Practitioner Registry

About our program: The Sandbox, a licensed group child care program, for 15 children and two teachers offers a safe learning environment for infant, toddler and preschool-aged children. Our mission is to interact with and guide children in developing the verbal, cognitive, motor, and social skills necessary to transition to a formal school environment. We acknowledge the importance of incorporating educational activities and curriculum into our home-based childcare service. Our philosophy is to offer each child age-appropriate curriculum based on his or her current developmental stage and abilities. Our goal is to instill a life-long learning desire within our kids.
