The San Diego Business Law Firm is seeking a part-time or contract attorney to assist the Managing Attorney with an increased workload, ongoing transactional projects, and pre-litigation and litigation matters involving Business, Real Estate, and Employment Law.
The ideal candidate will have experience and working knowledge in one or more of the following practice areas:
• Business and corporate law
• Real estate transactions and disputes
• Employment law
• Commercial litigation and pre-litigation matters
Experience handling both transactional and litigation matters is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities may include:
• Reviewing, drafting, and revising contracts and business agreements
• Conducting legal research and preparing written analyses
• Assisting with demand letters, settlement communications, and pre-litigation strategy
• Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and related litigation documents
• Supporting ongoing business, real estate, and employment matters
• Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and other professionals as needed
Preferred qualifications:
• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage assignments independently and meet deadlines
• Practical, business-minded approach to legal issues
• Strong attention to detail and professional communication skills
This position may be structured as either a part-time attorney role or an independent contract attorney arrangement, depending on the candidate’s experience, availability, and preferences.
