Job Location: PMC-Loudoun County Corps - LEESBURG, VA
Salary Range: $12.41 - $18.00 Hourly
ABOUT THIS POSITION
Schedule/Hours: Seasonal
This position is responsible for:
Drives a Salvation Army vehicle in order to transport passengers and Red Kettle equipment to bell ringing locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides transportation for bell ringers to kettle sites and the Corps. Picks-up Angel Tree donations from various sites for transport to warehouse.
- Drives carefully and observes/complies with all traffic signs and road/weather conditions to ensure the safety of passengers. Picks-up and delivers miscellaneous items as needed
- Locks vehicle doors when vehicle is not in use. Fuels vehicle in accordance with state gasoline regulations and The Salvation Army standards.
- Logs all mileage on standard forms; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same.
- Arrives at destination according to schedule or telephones ahead when severe delays occur. Maintains control of passenger activities by prohibiting unsafe or non-Christian behavior.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Work involves driving a vehicle where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with long distance trips or heavy traffic.
- Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to drive a vehicle in heavy traffic and extended trips.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
- High School diploma or G.E.D AND
- Two years’ experience operating an automotive vehicle OR
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid State Driver's License
Medical certificate
