ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Salary.
This position is responsible for:
- Manages the day-to-day operations and administration of the Information Technology Department.
- provides technical expertise and manages technical support to the Corps throughout the division in order to maintain an optimal operating level of all computer systems.
- provides leadership and direction for the IT team; travels throughout the division to survey site locations in order to determine the most appropriate computer equipment and method of installation or to troubleshoot existing system problems.
- Serves as a technical representative to Territorial Headquarters and outside vendors on behalf of the Corps.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Develops, plans, and manages the business operations (i.e., budget, procurement, staff supervision) of the Information Technology Department to provide leadership and direction throughout the division.
Maintains Vendor Relationships (25%)
- Serves as liaison with corporate offices such as AT&T, Cisco, and other vendors for installation, maintenance, and programming of telephone equipment; responsible for telecommunications system at DHQ and in the field, as requested.
- Serves as a representative of the Corps/Division in dealings with outside service vendors, and other computer equipment, data communications equipment, or computer service vendors.
- monitors the work performed by the outside service vendors to ensure the hardware problems are quickly and satisfactorily resolved.
Manages Divisional and Corps Technical Support (15%)
- Manages the preparation, distribution, and maintenance of Windows servers for DHQ, Corps, and Area Commands; installs and maintains required Data Bases i.e., Ceridian Source Time, Citrix, Great Plains, etc.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU :
- Two years of technical college or related education from a technical school is required,
and
- Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience including IT Management and business operations leadership experience, staff supervisory experience, and broad technical expertise in all technology operations and services supported by the assigned location.

- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- One or more relevant Information Technology certificates are required.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Limited physical effort is required for walking, standing, lifting, walking up step ladders, and carrying light to medium objects (less than 25-60 pounds) 10 - 15% of work time.
- Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing, walking, or driving a vehicle for site visits.
- Work is usually performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
- Work requires traveling to various locations throughout the division and staying overnight to complete installation projects or troubleshooting computer problems. Ability to travel to Corps/Centers located throughout the division.
