Duties And Responsibilities
- Communicate with donors, drivers and supervisors according to policy.
- Using the Donor Service System (DSS), keep an accurate record of location and production of all vehicles. Maintain completed call records and reports for determining trends and productivity sending a report to supervisor and administrator daily. In conjunction with supervisor, analyze and suggest strategy to increase efficiency as well as improve donor service.
- Coordinate all routes, assisting with proper routing of pick-up orders, as assigned. Assist with tracking and disposition of all pick-up tickets, advising the supervisor of any problems that arise.
- Inform immediate supervisor of any problems with vehicles (breakdown, accidents, flat tires, etc.), personnel issues (drivers who are ill, for example) or hazardous conditions that may prevent the safe and efficient operation of our vehicles.
- Assist with incoming phone calls as needed. Proactively contact donors for call-ahead, rescheduling cancelled pickups, or other donor service issues.
- Re-route trucks as directed by supervisor (same-day special donations, etc.).
- Present a polite, friendly, and positive attitude with an understanding of the importance of our donors and how their contributions support the overall goal of the ARC.
- This position will support the work therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers (ARCs) by providing beneficiaries with and example of professional conduct and work habits.
- Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or Administrator.
- High walking, reaching, stooping (under 1/3 of the time).
