This position is responsible for:
Plans, develops, implements, administers and monitors fundraising programs for an Area Command. Develops and secures funds to achieve/surpass fundraising goals through a variety of financial development strategies and functions including: (1) individual major gifts and individual donor upgrading; (2) corporate gifts and sponsorships; (3) foundation support for specific programs and projects; (4) capital campaigns; (5) special events; (6) United Way Funding; and (7) City, County, State, ad Federal Government grants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains up-to-date awareness of the latest fundraising strategies and incorporates them into the Area Command fundraising plans and strategies.
- Works with Area Commander, Advisory Board, councils and committees to develop local promotional plans; conducts presentations when needed.
- Assists with Christmas-related fundraising activities.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability to understand and manage budgets and financial matters
Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with specialized training in fundraising management AND
- Four to six years’ experience of progressively responsible experience in fundraising and fundraising management OR
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid State Driver’s License
National Society of Fundraising Executives (NSFRE) certification as a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) preferable
