What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concession Attendant (4325) position at THE SALVATION ARMY?
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
Schedule/Hours: Part-time, including evenings and Saturdays
This position is responsible for: participating in the daily operations of the Concession area; maintaining an organized and sanitary environment; adhering to all health codes and food services standards and regulations in order to provide safe food and drinks to customers; serving guests in a professional manner and providing excellent customer service.
- Duty1: Cooks and prepares a variety of foods and beverages utilizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and supplies in accordance with acceptable and economical cooking methods serves food and beverages in a presentable manner as needed.
- Duty 2: Participates in the opening and closing of the concession/coffee bar in accordance with the established schedule to ensure adequate access by members, guests, and visitors.
- Duty 3: Operates the cash register and ensures the proper handling of all monies received in accordance with Salvation Army guideline.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively
- Duties require frequent periods of physical mobility, including but not limited to standing, walking, stooping, and lifting. Physical duties may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of sitting
Qualifications:
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
- Education: Must be 16 years of age.
- Experience: High School diploma or G.E.D. and
- Or one year of experience working with concessions
- Any Equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Food Handler’s certification or ability to obtain within an established timeframe
- Safe From Harm Certification
- Bloodborne Pathogens Certification
