The Social Services assistant will assist on a daily basis to help clients to meet their needs within our ability.
This position will be responsible for all aspects of food donations, working with volunteers, and keep records for community service workers.

The Social Services assistant will assist on a daily basis to help clients to meet their needs within our ability.
This position will be responsible for all aspects of food donations, working with volunteers, and keep records for community service workers.
Duties And Responsibilities
- To make sure food pantry and storage units are kept clean and organized
- To make food boxes and bags for the clients needs
- Helping with the unloading of trucks when food is delivered
- To Assist the Director in helping with commodities and TEFAP
- To record freezer and refrigeration temperatures
- Will assist with the seasonal activities during Thanksgiving and Christmas
- To help with food donations and food bank pick-ups from local stores
- To assist in doing food drives in the community
- To Assist in helping with Vouchers for various Army programs

- Posses good customer Service
- Able to follow verbal and written directions
- Able to work with excel and word
- To make suggestions to Social Services Director and Corps Officer about what is needed in the food bank
- Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must be able to stand on your feet for a long period of time.
- Driving
- If the position requires driving:
- A minimum age of 21 (for insurance provision) and possession of a valid in-state driver’s license is required.
- An MVR will be processed every year in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies.
- Background Check
- Continued employment will be contingent upon a biennial (every two years) background check that is processed in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies.
- Ability to maneuver.

- Ability to operate telephone.
