What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Services Assistant position at The Salvation Army Golden State Division?
OVERVIEW:
The Social Services Assistant will help with the operations of the social services department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the operation of the Social Services department
- Assist the lunch program and input client data
- Maintain statistics of all Corps social services programs
- Assist in holiday programs
- Pick up donations
- Other related duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- CA Driver’s License (required)
- ServSafe Food handling certificate (within first fourteen days of employment- company provided)
- Experience in Microsoft programs
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
EQUIPMENT USED:
- Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (usually file boxes)
