OVERVIEW: The Administrative & Social Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the social services programs offered at The Salvation Army Redwood City Corps as well as overall administrative support of Corps programming.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervise the operation of the Social Services department in the absence of the Corps OfficerOversee the food program and input client dataOversee volunteers assisting in Corps programsAssist individuals with obtaining services including rental assistance, food distribution, and other resources that may be availableAnswer Corps phone and take detailed messages to relay important informationManage client databaseMaintain statistics of all Corps social service programsPrepare monthly reportsSubmit accounts payable and maintain invoices in secure filesCompose and mail thank you letters to donors & community partnersContact advisory board members for meetingsDrive to store locations for donationsAssist Corps Officers with seasonal Christmas programOther related duties as requiredEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent (required)CA Driver's license (required)Experience as an Administrative Assistant (preferred)Experience with Microsoft programs SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)Knowledge of Microsoft ProgramsAbility to work with diverse populationsTeam playerEQUIPMENT USED: Modern Office Equipment and Relevant SoftwarePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
