The Salvation Army Family Store in Quincy is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join us as Store Workers at our busy thrift store.
Hours: Part-time, 19 hours/week
Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
Schedule: Flexible shifts available – weekdays, evenings, and weekends

Responsibilities:
As a Store Worker, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring our store runs smoothly while supporting our mission to serve the community. Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver excellent customer service and create a welcoming shopping experience
- Sort, price, and organize donated items
- Keep shelves stocked and maintain clean, attractive displays
- Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently
- Help with store security and loss prevention
What We’re Looking For:
You don’t need prior experience—we’ll train the right person! We’re looking for individuals who are:
- Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented
- Able to stay organized and multitask in a busy retail setting
- Physically able to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods
- Detail-oriented with a positive attitude
Previous retail or customer service experience is a bonus—but not required!

The Quincy Area Command serves Adams, Pike and Brown counties in Illinois and Marion, Ralls, Lewis, Shelby and Monroe counties in Missouri. Our services include emergency housing, case management, food assistance through our fully stocked food pantry and daily breadline, emergency disaster services and weekly church ministries. These services are supported through generous donations and revenue from the Hannibal and Quincy Family Stores.
