The Custodian is responsible for cleaning and grounds upkeep of The Salvation Army facilities in the Fox Cities.
About the role:
- Perform daily janitorial duties at the Social Services Building, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash and restocking supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, soap).
- Clean the gym and kitchen following the noon meal program.
- Provide janitorial services at the Badger Avenue Building on a regular schedule.
- Provide, on occasion, custodial support at the Worship and Community Center building.
- Strip and wax floors, as needed.
- Maintain the exterior of the Social Services Building by removing trash and items left on sidewalks and grounds.
- Perform light seasonal work such as snow removal, gardening and leaf raking.
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of seasonal programs, including Red Kettles, Coats for Kids and Toy Shop.
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks according to the established schedule in coordination with the Facilities Maintenance Technician.
- Communicate maintenance needs, safety concerns and supply inventory updates to the supervisor.
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: Previous commercial cleaning experience is preferred.
Certifications: Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License with clearance to drive from TSA insurance.

Full-time employees scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week will be eligible for full benefits, including health, dental, vision and hearing benefits, basic and voluntary life benefits, holiday pay and paid time off, which is pro-rated based on their regularly scheduled work week.
Non-Exempt Employees: Health, dental, vision, and hearing benefits, as well as basic and voluntary life benefits, will begin on the first day of the month following 90 days of employment. If the completion of a 90-day waiting period occurs on the first day of the calendar month, coverage will begin on that day.

Compensation: $14.82 - $18.52/hour, based on experience.
