What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corrections Monitor (5517) position at THE SALVATION ARMY A GEORGIA CORP?
Schedule/Hours: 29 Must be available to work midnight to 8AM at least twice a week.
This position is responsible for:
Monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift ensuring accountability, safety, security, and compliance to corrections facility rules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitors client behavior and serves as liaison between client and counselor.
- Administers drug/alcohol testing as required.
- Maintains accurate and complete logs for residents and the facility.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to perform combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Distance of travel is usually within the same building. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED AND
- One year experience performing security work OR
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Ability to read, write and communicate the English language.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid state drivers license.
