What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childcare Worker & Driver (7260) position at THE SALVATION ARMY A GEORGIA CORP?
Schedule/Hours: Monday- Friday, 40 hours week
This position is responsible for:
Provides child care services for children including personal care, hygiene, pre-developed learning and development activities and specialized programs; follow lesson plans to teach pre-school classes; prepares and maintains records; maintains cleanliness and orderliness of child care property. Drives a Salvation Army vehicle in order to transport passengers to and from Salvation Army activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides constant care for the needs of the children in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner.
- Assists in the classroom by following and carrying out lesson plans which are age-group program specific.
- Provides transportation for children to and from school or other activties.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to lift, hold, and carry children on a regular basis (up to 50 lbs.)
- Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequents change basis.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or G.E.D. required,
and two years experience teaching child development programs in a church or pre-school,
or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid state commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement
C.P.R. and First Aid Certification
