To Grow Aveda Florida New Business
The Salon People – Aveda Florida is seeking a New Business Partner to join our team! We are looking for someone who has the passion to Inspire other like-minded salon owners in the state of Florida to join Aveda Florida.
The New Hire will partner with Executive Vice President Aveda Florida to execute New Business Strategy and process resulting in opening 10 new doors or a minimum of $500k in opening orders and replenishment orders for the fiscal year.
This individual must be able to assess the salon/spa landscape, love the chase of cold calling, enjoy relationship building, and have a relentless focus to win. The individual will also need to ensure that each new salon meets Aveda’s guidelines, Mission and Standards of Excellence.

Requirements & Responsibilities
- Develop a full understanding of and training on the Salon Development Partner Role as well as the New Business Partner Role.
- The Aveda Florida New Business Partner is responsible for the hunting process for finding new business leads, developing relationships through canvassing, micro-markets and market leaders, cultivating relationships, presenting “Why Aveda”, opening salons that grow the Aveda network, and developing a new business pipeline up to eighteen months out
- Receive & Service all in-coming leads in territory within 48 hours.
- Adhere to budget guidelines for new business investment. Negotiate within set parameters.
- This person will also be responsible for connecting with, training, and collaborating with the local Salon Development Partners within their respective region.
- Utilize Leads Forms for pre-approval of all Concept and Lifestyle Salons. Discuss barriers to success and create action plans to resolve. Continual improvement mindset to evolve the approach and process.
- The New Business Partner will set up, maintain, support and grow the new salon for the first 12 months before handing it to the Salon Development Partner this includes sales execution and education.
- After 12 months of execution, create transition plan process with Salon Development Partner to ensure a successful transition.
General Requirements & Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in a sales role with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Must be a “Hunter” and have proficiency in negotiating and closing business
- Able to identify challenges and develop solutions quickly
- Able to coach or persuade others successfully to reach company goals
- Independent judgment and decision- making capabilities utilizing Ownership Thinking
- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit which consists of being self-directed with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue at the salon level
- Must be self-motivated, resourceful and results oriented
- Ability to develop and deliver persuasive presentations as well as the ability to build long lasting relationships.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer proficiency and mobile first proficiency in MS Office, SalesForce, and Zoom
- Ability to understand financial and sales reports
- Have a passion for Aveda products and the beauty industry.
- Activate local and national initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance
- Solid understanding of sales, product knowledge, events, operations, retail culture and beauty industry.
- Deep understanding of the salon industry and current trends.
- Ability to see problems and develop action plans to get past them (i.e. inventory/stock issues)
- Demonstrated results through strategic thinking
- Charismatic individual with strong negotiation and communication talents
- Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment with multi-unit management skills.
- Availability to work key business hours including weekends
- Flexible to work weekends and evenings
- Extensive travel - 80% Time – Overnights will be required
- Possess a valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance
- Must reside in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (residency in adjacent cities in South Florida may be considered)
