What are the responsibilities and job description for the Private Practice Clinician- Evenings and Weekends position at The Salish Sea Collective?
Are you a therapist who is really good at being a therapist…but not so good at being a business person? Or maybe find the business aspect of private practice daunting, overwhelming or just plain boring? Maybe you’ve been working in the world of Community Mental Health and are ready to feel more appreciated, independent and properly compensated. Are you recently graduated and looking to join the world of private practice? Maybe you’ve tried solo private practice and find it too isolating or become entrenched in submitting claims, fighting with insurance companies over denials, or requesting payments.
We are seeking full-time fully-licensed or associate-licensed clinicians to join The Salish Sea Collective at our Puyallup location for evening and weekend availability. We are a multidisciplinary counseling practice focused on providing whole-person centered care for the families and communities we serve. Our W-2 positions read much more like those of independent contractors - choose your schedule, choose which clients you see, provide therapy how you see fit, take vacations when you want, etc. We are an eclectic group made up of clinicians from different walks of life and specialties, who enjoy the camaraderie and support of colleagues. The clinicians here are independent, self-driven, and value a work/life balance but also enjoy being a part of a team, learning from others, and letting someone think about all the hassles of insurance and admin duties. We have AAMFT approved supervisors and are eager to assist new therapists in their clinical growth. We serve a diverse community of clients and seek to provide excellent care while maintaining the “one down approach” - our clients are experts on themselves and we are there to walk alongside them, learning what it’s like to be in their shoes. We take an affirming approach regarding faith, sexuality, gender expression, racial background and cultural considerations.
Our beautifully furnished offices provide a comfortable work environment that are conveniently located for both our clinicians and our clients. We have fully stocked (and super fun!) playrooms for Child Centered Play Therapy as well as relaxing therapy spaces for individual, couple and family work. We are looking for clinicians who are willing to see clients in the office and via telehealth.
