Position Summary:
Under the supervision of Department Supervisor or Manager, perform general labor tasks to assist staff in housekeeping, grounds work and general maintenance and repair of buildings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform custodial, housekeeping and grounds work duties as needed.
- Perform outside maintenance duties including snow removal, lawn mowing, trimming shrubbery, and gardening.
- Set up and tear down equipment for events and special activities.
- May perform carpentry work, drywall and maintenance painting.
- Notify management concerning repairs needed. Maintain care and use of supplies, equipment, etc.
- Abide by all safety regulations.
- Attend all trainings/meetings related to the position as required by management.
- Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

- Knowledge of use of maintenance tools, chemicals, cleaners, and disinfectants.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and applicable safety practices.
- Skill in the use of cleaning tools, chemicals, cleaners, and disinfectants.
- Skill in the safe operation of tools and shop equipment.
- Ability to comprehend and consistently follow oral and written directions regarding policies, procedures and the use of supplies and equipment.
- Ability to use hand tools and grounds maintenance equipment in a safe manner.
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees and the general public.

- Ability to work extended hours and various work schedules.
Physical Demands:
- Strenuous physical exertion in climbing ladders and lifting heavy objects.
- Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers.
- Required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and reach with arms and hands.
- Occasionally sit, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Normal visual acuity, ability to talk and hear.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Must possess sufficient stamina to work under all types of weather conditions including extreme hot/cold and to lift, carry, push, or pull a variety of tools, equipment and materials
- Work may be performed in wet and cramped or close work area.
- Exposure to chemicals and hazardous materials and moving parts may occur.
- Evening, overnight, holiday and/or weekend work may be required.
- Travel may be required.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be able to pass background check to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.
License, Certification, or Special Requirements:
- Native American preference shall apply to all positions.
