Job Description
An overall understanding of the day-to-day operations of hotel/resort to sell it effectively. Manage as skillfully as possible the guest rooms and function space to maximize revenue potential for the hotel and to ensure that the customer has the best possible meeting experience.

Responsibilities:
Achieve monthly room night goal and annual budget.
Develop and implement sales action plans, maintain positive interdepartmental communications and to complete special projects as assigned by the Director of Sales & Events.
Solicit accounts within assigned market segment utilizing the Delphi Sales System.
Prospect and develop new accounts within assigned geographic territory and vertical segments.
An overall understanding of the resort comp set and how to position the resort ahead of them.
Travel to trade shows and appointments as scheduled. Minimum of one time per month.
Be knowledgeable about OPAL properties and cross selling opportunities. Sell OPAL at trade shows and industry events in addition to the resort.
Knowledge and selling of our sister property, Lake Placid Lodge
Maintain aggressive weekly telephone, site inspection and personal call goals.
Use all prospect sources as laid out in the Delphi Sales System.
Follow up promptly on leads generated by end of day.
Achieve budgeted room rate and revenues.
Be knowledgeable about OPAL properties and cross selling opportunities
Active involvement in industry association and trade shows.
Participate in development of direct mail and all promotions related to the Corporate & Association market segments.
Utilize market-related publications to stay current with industry trends and potential leads.
Monitor the competition for potential sources of new group business.
Submit sales call reports for outside sales calls.
Maintain a strong working relationship with 3 rd party representation firms such as Conference Direct, Helms Briscoe and others.
Manage all files with current trace dated, accurate histories and all relevant information regarding booking activity.
Is current and abides by all sales office procedures and systems.
Participate in weekly sales meetings.
Promote a high-quality company image by demonstrating professionalism to both clients and colleagues.
Other duties may be assigned Education/Experience: College degree preferred and/or a minimum of three years Hotel/Resort Sales Experience.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
